Christy McMurtry
Senior Warden

Christy first attended St. Stephen’s 60 years ago – took a 40 year “pause”—then returned 10 years ago because she loved seeing how the congregation was expanding their mission to feed those who were hungry in body and in spirit.  Christy is an advocate for those living with mental health challenges downtown.  She finds joy in meditation, music, and plants (growing, nurturing, cooking and eating!).

Melissa Arnold
Junior Warden

Cradle Episcopalian, Melissa has been off and on at St Stephens for 20 years, serving with several different priests as liturgical assistant. A farmers' granddaughter, retired Zookeeper, she continues her animal care skills by extreme house-pet sitting, wildlife habitat maintenance, and Native bee-keeping.  She believes that God is Nature is Love!

Transformation

Picture
Our community is currently in transition, or as we like to call it, transformation. Our former priest recently retired. Luckily St. Stephen's is in the very capable hands of our Vestry in addition to our consultant and interim presider, The Rev. Julia "Jules" Nielsen. We look forward to what the future holds for our spiritual community!
